THERMAL WONDERLAND - 7 days package, specially designed to suit golfers who may wish to include Trout fishing, visit and see this famous and Historic Thermal District.
Rotorua, New Zealand, is a World famous destination, and has a long history of welcoming visitors. From the moment people arrive here they know they're somewhere quite different. There is a scent of sulphur in the air, and at nearby geothermal hotspots there are spouting geysers, acrid-smelling mud pools bubbling and belching, and warm geothermal pools and ponds that create a kaleidoscope of colour.

Our unique tour program allows you the opportunity to play golf on the now famous Arikikapakapa (Rotorua G.C.) which is a 9 iron away from the largest of the active Thermal Parks. You will also play the Wairakei Course which is highly ranked in the list of courses outside of the USA.

We arrange your accommodation at a Hotel overlooking the bubbling mud pools, geysers and other thermal activity in the nearby Thermal Park.

Your stay in this area will provide you with an opportunity to visit and see the most significant Historic places in this very important area of New Zealands' cultural heritage.

  • We provide an experienced, low handicap, mature golfer as your guide & golfing companion.
  • Our standard package provides twin share accommodation at a quality hotel - we will book Motor Hotel or upgrade to Single room, Suite or luxury hotel if you so request. (our adjusted quote will be sent to you).

  • Your tour guide will ensure you visit and see ALL the best and most significant Historic areas.
  • We work closely with the most successful Trout Fishing boat captains in the area to provide you with an opportunity to land a nice fish whilst cruising on one of the many picturesque lakes of the Thermal area.

PLEASE NOTE : All our itineraries assume you have timed your flight arrival time to be AM hours on day one of the tour. If this is not possible or practical for you we will adjust the tour timings to suit.

THERMAL WONDERLAND - ROTORUA - 7 DAY PACKAGE

DAY 1 :

  • AM - Meet and greet at Auckland International Airport. Drive South (3 Hours) to the City of Rotorua with commentary and interest stops.
  • PM - Visit Historic, Cultural and areas of interest.
  • Evening : (Note : Unless requested we do not normally arrange evening entertainment) HOWEVER we arrange for you to eat a traditional Maori Hangi (feast) and for you to see a Maori Concert party performance.

DAY 2 :

  • AM - Golf at Arikikapakapa (pronounced ARE -EE - key - coppa - coppa (see index for golf courses at Thermal Wonderland)
  • PM - We will, if required, arrange an afternoon program to suit tour members
  • Evening free

DAY 3 :

  • If the party has indicated they would like a days fishing we will arrange a charter boat. Otherwise this will be a 2nd golfing day which would take you to Wairakei. (see index for golf courses at Thermal Wonderland) The course is situated about 50 miles from Rotorua and has been rated as one of the top 100 outside of the USA.
  • PM - Free

DAY 4 :

  • AM - If the party had a fishing day yesterday then we will play Wairakei today. Otherwise we will return to the Rotorua Club or an alternate.
  • PM Free

DAY 5 :

  • AM - Early departure for Auckland with a stop at a selected course along the way.
  • PM - Free

DAY 6 :

  • AM - Today we play either Gulf Harbour or Titirangi (see index for Auckland Golf Courses)
  • PM - Free

DAY 7 :

  • AM - Today will depend on your departure timetable. We will make arrangements to suit you before transferring you to the Airport in ample time to make departure arrangements.
You can extend this tour with the addition of non golfing, golfing or fishing days in Rotorua or with additional golfing or non golfing days in Auckland. We would be happy to provide a separate quote which would cover your itinerary alterations.
TOUR COSTS

The cost per person including one fishing day USD 2175.00 The cost with no fishing but additional golfing day USD 2075.00 The cost for non golfing tour member USD 1800.00 NOTE : These rates will apply for groups from 2-4. We will prepare a separate cost schedule for larger parties.

FISHING COSTS

We are able to provide access to a top quality Trout fishing charter boat at a well negotiated price - this costing may vary according to the Month and day of the week but will be confirmed as and when a booking is made
